Missions

Matthew 28:19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”

At The Church at Tuscaloosa, we believe that God has called us so that the nations might know Him. He has blessed us so that the earth will see His glory! Each year we send teams all over the world to help be the hands and feet of Jesus to the people we encounter.

Not only do we feel strong about caring for our world, we feel just as strong as caring for our local community. We partner with organizations such as Authentic Renovations Ministries to help with local home restoration projects as well as Love, INC to help teach people the Godly skills they need to live a life that would bless Him.

At The Church at Tuscaloosa we want to take special care of the community around us. If you are aware of any "missional" need, please let us know by clicking the button below or contacting one of our Missional Leadership Team members.

Filter of Hope

Filter of Hope is Christian humanitarian organization whose vision is to serve impoverished communities around the world by equipping them to transform their socio-economic, physical and spiritual well-being.

Will and Tara Miller are home grown missionaries of The Church at Tuscaloosa. Will met his wife, Tara, when they both served as missionaries on The World Race in 2009-2010. They married in 2011. After spending a year on the mission field with The World Race, Will and Tara felt a call to minister to the people of The Philippines full time, working in a local children's home, planting the Transmitter church in the Malaybalay community, mentoring college students, and helping to build a home for minors in conflict with the law. Their child, Liam, was born on the mission field of the Philippines. As of January of 2014, they have joined the ministry of Filter of Hope and are serving the people of The Dominican Republic and Haiti.

The Grain Game

The Grain Game is a non-profit organization that aims to share the redemption story with kids, ages 10-15, in every corner of the world.  Using stunts, games, toys, and science tricks---our camps capture the imagination of these kids, point their hearts to Christ and help them store up the grain of God's Word.
